TRADITIONAL CHINESE MEDICINE have developed over five thousand years, it principally employs a method of comprehensive diagnosis–observation of the body through looking, touching, smelling, listening and most importantly – pulse taking. Through these precise examinations, different treatments were given to cure the sickness and strengthen their bodies.
From the TCM point of view, our body is a small universe with a set of complete and sophisticated interconnected systems, everything
is ultimately related to each other. These systems usually work in balance to maintain the healthy function of the human body. Optimum health should result from living as harmoniously as possible with the spontaneous process of change tending towards balance.
ACUPUNCTURE works by normalizing the “flow” of QI –
vital energy in the body. It treats the human body as a whole
that involves several “systems of function”, in many cases associated with physical organs. Pain or illnesses occur due to accumulation of moist or deficiency of qi. Pain is considered to indicate blockage or stagnation of the flow of qi, and an axiom of acupuncture is “no pain, no blockage; no blockage, no pain”.
